Retainers

Overview

Tether Products’ unique patent-pending retainers come in three basic styles consisting of Disk-style retainers, Cup-style retainers and the distinctive TetherPlug.

Disk-style retainers come in four different models and many different sizes, depending on the model. Their chief distinction is that they are extremely easy and comfortable to insert or remove (no distension or pressure whatsoever necessarily needs to be placed on the urethral orifice during the process) and can be absolutely impossible to pull out, allowing you to do things like stretch your penis or securely attach things to it. But they require very careful fitting (selection of the appropriate size) and, before you order them, you need to know the precise size of your urethral orifice (see the Sizing Guidelines). They are also only useful when used in conjunction with a spout or a similar appliance like a pin (make sure you have one). Any spout currently offered by Tether Products will work with them.

Cup-style retainers also require use of a spout or similar appliance and any spout currently offered by Tether Products will work with them. But you don’t have to know your urethral orifice size before you order them and size selection is much more flexible. Their chief distinction is that they can be used both to seal-off and plug your penis (leak free) and to comfortably apply strong tension (typically more comfortably than with disk-style retainers). The tradeoff is that they are not nearly as easy or comfortable to insert or remove as disk-style retainers and may not provide quite the same absolute security. With enough tension they can conceivably pop out of your penis (depending on size), or stretch and let the spout slip through.

TetherPlugs are specialized stand-alone retainers that require no spout. Acting like a remotely controlled valve inside the end of your dick, they can be used to confidently and actively control the emissions of your penis with virtually no leakage, and to comfortably apply tremendous tension. Like cup-style retainers, size selection is very flexible and you don’t need to know your orifice size before you order. But again, the tradeoff is that they are not nearly as comfortable or easy to insert or remove as disk-style retainers and may pop out if enough tension is applied.
